Copegus Indications

Copegus is indicated treating chronic hepatitis C.
Copegus is indicated in patients with liver disease who have not been previously treated with Interferon alfa or those who have
relapses from alfa Interferon therapy.

Copegus Warnings

Copegus may not be advisable if you have any of the following:
- Thyroid disease;
- Past Interferon treatment of hepatitis C that did not work;
- Pancreatitis;
- Mental problems;
- Kidney problems;
- Infection of hepatitis B or HIV and AIDS;
- History of organ transplant;
- History of heart disease;
- History of alcoholism or drug abuse;
- Hemoglobin disorder such as anemia thalassemia or sickle-cell anemia;
- Diabetes;
- Cancer;

Copegus Side Effects

Copegus may serious side effects and allergic reactions, which include:
- Bloody stools;
- Changes in vision;
- Chest arm or neck pain;
- Closing of the throat;
- Difficulty in breathing;
- Fever greater than 1005 degrees Fahrenheit;
- Hives;
- Psoriasis;
- Severe stomach pain or lower back pain;
- Swelling of the face lips or tongue;
- Trouble in breathing or increased cough;
- Unusual bruising or bleeding;

Copegus also has side effects, which are less serious and more likely to occur. They include:
- Fatigue or tiredness;
- Insomnia or restlessness;
- Nausea or decreased appetite;
- Rash or itching;
- Thinning of the hair;
