Elavil Indications

Elavil is indicated to relieve symptoms of mental depression such as:
- Changes in appetite;
- Feelings of sadness worthlessness or guilt;
- Insomnia;
- Laughing syndrome associated with multiple sclerosis;

- Sleeping too much;
- Thoughts of death or suicide;

Elavil Warnings

Elavil is incompatible with the following conditions:
- A Heart or Circulatory system disorder;
- An enlarge prostate or difficulty in urinating;
- Asthma;
- Diabetes;
- Glaucoma or other chronic eye conditions;
- Had a heart attack in the last 6 weeks;
- Kidney problems;
- Liver problems;
- Stomach or Intestinal problems;
- Thyroid problems;

Elavil Overdose

Overdose of Elavil may be characterized by:
- Agitation;
- Confusion;
- Convulsions;
- Dilated pupils and other eye problems;
- Disturbed concentration;
- Dizziness;
- Drowsiness;
- Fainting;
- Fatigue;
- Hallucinations;
- Low Blood Pressure;
- Rapid or irregular heartbeat;
- Unresponsive;
- Vomiting;

Elavil Side Effects

Severe side effects of this product may include the following:
- A fast or irregular heartbeat;
- A heart attack;
- An allergic reaction;
- Difficulty in urinating;
- Fever with increased sweating muscle stiffness or severe muscle weakness;
- High blood pressure;
- Seizures;

Less severe side effects of this product may include the following:
- Constipation;
- Dream and sleep disturbances;
- Drowsiness or Dizziness;
- Dry mouth and eyes;
- Irritability;
- Loss of weight or appetite;
- Mild agitation weakness or headache;
- Mild tremor;
- Nausea;
- Restlessness;
- Ringing in the ears;
- Sweating;

Elavil Drug Interactions

Elavil may be dangerous if taken with the following drugs:

- Disulfiram;

- Phenobarbital;
- Premarin and Oral Contraceptives;
- Quinidine;
- Sudafed and Proventil;
