Synthroid Indications

Synthroid is indicated for the treatment of:
- Patients with unusual enlargement of the thyroid gland (goiter);
- Patients with thyroid cancer;
- Patients suffering from thyroid hormone insufficiency;

Synthroid Warnings

Some conditions may require an altered dosage or may prevent you entirely from starting out the treatment, such as:
- Under active pituitary glands;
- Under active adrenal glands;
- Overactive Thyroid;
- High blood pressure;
- Heart disease;
- Hardening of the arteries;
- Diabetes Mellitus;

Synthroid Drug Interactions

Special attention must be employed if you are taking any of the following:
- Medicines intended for colds sinus problems and allergies;
- Medicines for asthma or drugs prescribed to treat breathing problems;
- Colestipol;
- Cholestyramine;
- Appetite suppressants;
- Anticoagulants;
- Amphetamines;
